How to Access the Virtual Classroom
It’s easy to participate in our online live courses:
Click the link you received and open it in your browser.
The first time you use Zoom, you will be asked to enter your name, which will be displayed in the classroom. When entering the session, you will see a preview of your webcam so you can see what others will see before joining. When you are ready, click “Join with Video.” A new window will then appear asking you to select “Join with Computer Audio.” And that’s it – you’re ready to go!
Remember – You Can Always Rejoin
If you are disconnected from Zoom at any time during the session, you can always re-enter the virtual classroom using the link in your email.
Technical Requirements
Audio
Your computer (or headset) must have speakers and a microphone. If possible, use a headset for better sound quality.
Webcam
A webcam is not mandatory, but we strongly encourage you to participate with video enabled, as this creates a more personal experience for everyone.
Stable Internet Connection
If possible, we recommend using a wired internet connection to avoid interruptions.

6 Tips for a Great Online Learning Experience
- Create Your Own Learning Space
Set up a dedicated learning environment wherever you are. Make sure you have coffee or water, sit comfortably, and choose a place without distractions. If you are not alone, let those around you know that you should not be disturbed. Turn off notifications on your phone and email as much as possible.
- Make Sure Your Technology Is Ready
A stable internet connection is essential (use a wired connection if possible). It’s also a good idea to use a headset (preferably with a microphone) for better sound quality.
- Familiarize Yourself with the Virtual Classroom Before the Course Begins
You have received a quick guide to the key Zoom features. Read through it and, if relevant, watch the linked video guides. On the day the course begins, you are welcome to join 10 minutes early to test the tool and get comfortable.
- Engage with Each Other
Even though you are physically apart, you are still a group of participants. Make sure to interact and collaborate throughout the course. It may feel slightly unfamiliar at first if you haven’t met each other “in real life,” but approach it with an open mind to get the most out of the training.
- Participate Actively
Don’t hesitate to ask questions and bring in real-life challenges from your daily work. We are all here to learn.
- Remember to Take Breaks
There will be scheduled breaks during the course, giving you time to stretch your legs and get some fresh air. Even if you’re not chatting with other participants, it’s healthy to rest your eyes and step away from the screen.
