About D-A-D:
Since D-A-D was formed in 1984 and played their first concerts that same year, the band has built a reputation as an outstanding live act – and early on established the core of the loyal fan base that has followed them ever since. In 1986, their debut album “Call Of The Wild” was released, followed the next year by “Draws A Circle.” On these early albums, you’ll find later classics such as “Marlboro Man,” “It’s After Dark,” “Isn’t That Wild,” and the statement song “I Won’t Cut My Hair.”
Gradually, most of the country sound disappeared, replaced by a harder and at times distinctly heavy-inspired rock style.
In 2000, “Everything Glows” was released – featuring songs such as the title track and “Nineteenhundredandyesterday,” which cemented D-A-D’s position as Denmark’s biggest rock band.
“DIC.NII.LAN.DAFT.ERD.ARK” was the title of the national rockers’ 11th studio album from 2011, showing the quartet in tremendous form. D-A-D had clearly returned to their roots, which audiences enthusiastically embraced when the band embarked on an intensive tour in 2012 with more than 60 concerts across Europe.
Look forward to a D-A-D concert featuring hits like “I’m Sleeping My Day Away,” “Laugh ’n’ A 1/2,” and “Bad Craziness,” when D-A-D rocks the open-air stage at Tivoli Friheden and sets the tone for Fed Fredag on September 1.
