Testing in Agile Projects is a practical course that provides an insight into what agile testing is, which methods to use, and knowledge about a tester’s role, skills, and mindset in an agile setup.

Learning objectives

You will gain foundational knowledge of testing and quality assurance in agile development processes and a basic understanding of agile methods. By the end of the course, you will have achieved the following:

  • Knowledge of the foundation upon which agile projects are built.
  • An introduction to the Whole Team Approach
  • Familiarity with the most used frameworks in agile system development
  • Developed and conducted reviews of agile requirements (User Stories), including acceptance criteria.
  • Tried out the use of relative estimation with a focus on testing.
  • Insight into what agile testing is and which methods can be used.
  • Knowledge of a tester’s role and mindset in an agile setup
  • An introduction to Test Automation and Continuous Integration (CI)

Target audience

You need to know more about how to test and ensure quality in an agile environment. Perhaps you are about to begin working in an agile project, or you are already working in an agile setting but lack methods and techniques for testing? You might be in a role such as a Test Manager, Tester, QA Manager, Project Manager, product, or business manager, and have a need to understand the agile setup better. You are looking for an overview of how quality can be assured in an agile project and are seeking inspiration to get started and try out methods in your own project.

Course format

The course is based on active participant involvement, providing ample opportunity for broad experience sharing through both plenary discussions and practical exercises. There will be pair, group, and joint activities, with a strong focus on applying methods and exchanging experiences between the participants and the instructor.

Enzo Henriksen

Meet Enzo Lycke Henriksen, Trifork QIs Trainer. Enzo Henriksen has worked in IT for more than 30 years across industries in both Denmark and abroad. Since 2000, he has specialized in quality assurance, testing, and agile transformation, with experience spanning requirements management, test automation, test management, and DevOps. As part of TestHuset’s international expansion in Spain, Enzo contributes his expertise to strengthening testing and quality assurance processes globally. He is certified as an ISTQB Advanced Test Manager and Agile Tester and has deep knowledge of agile methods such as Scrum, SAFe, and Kanban. At TestHuset, Enzo teaches test management, testing in agile projects, and ISTQB Foundation.
