Prerequisites

To derive optimal benefit from this course, we recommend that you have basic knowledge of terminology and concepts in testing according to the ISTQB standard, for example, through the course “Fundamentals of Software Testing,” which serves as an introduction to the same topics and concepts (without focusing on the exam). However, there are no official requirements, but it is our recommendation.

Course and exam format

Over the course of a few intensive days, you will be taught the topics that are included in the exam. The course includes both theoretical presentations, practical exercises, and classroom discussions. There will generally be high participant activity.

Exam format

The exam is prepared by an official ISTQB exam provider. The exam is a 60-minute (+25% if the exam language is not the candidate’s native language) multiple-choice with 40 questions, without any aids. You need to score a minimum of 26 correct answers or 65% to pass.

Preparation and Homework

You should expect to spend 5-10 hours reading the course material before the start of the course, as well as 2 hours of homework each evening during the course.
