Fundamentals of Software Testing

The Fundamentals of Software Testing is a course that gives you the basic knowledge and fundamentals skills to work professionally with software testing.

Learning objectives

You will gain basic knowledge of software testing, as well as the following other benefits:

  • You will know what testing is and why we test
  • You will know the different roles in testing
  • You learn fundamental testing processes
  • You practice creating effective test cases using several different testing techniques
  • You are familiar with test planning

Target audience

You have worked with software testing for a short period and want to gain theoretical knowledge, as well as a more professional approach to software testing and quality assurance. You also wish to prepare for the ISTQB Foundation certification course. Foundations of Structured Testing is designed for software testers, developers, and managers alike.  

Course format

The course’s theoretical material adheres to ISTQB terminology and its recommended best practices. There will be partner exercises, group exercises, and plenty of open discussions. This type of course, in which the students actively participate in instruction, makes it easier for students to relate to their own everyday work.

Meet our Trainers

Annemette Clement

Meet Annemette Clement, Trifork QI’s Trainer. Annemette holds a master’s degree in IT and Product Development from Aarhus University and has worked as a consultant in testing and quality assurance since 2016. She has assisted numerous clients across various industries in roles such as Test Mentor, Test Manager, QA Analyst, and Technical Tester.

Maja Andresen

Meet Maja Andresen, Trifork QI’s Trainer. Maja has over 20 years of experience in IT projects and quality assurance of IT solutions. She has previously worked at organizations such as Danske Bank and Ørsted, where she held roles as Tester, Test Manager, Test Mentor, and Leader. For four years, she was responsible for Test Management across Ørsted, including test concepts, resource management, and cross-organizational initiatives such as automation and agile transformation. Today, in addition to teaching, she works as a consultant specializing in testing and quality assurance.

Enzo Lycke Henriksen

Meet Enzo Lycke Henriksen, Trifork QI’s Trainer. Enzo Henriksen has worked in IT for more than 30 years across industries in both Denmark and abroad. Since 2000, he has specialized in quality assurance, testing, and agile transformation, with experience spanning requirements management, test automation, test management, and DevOps. As part of TestHuset’s international expansion in Spain, Enzo contributes his expertise to strengthening testing and quality assurance processes globally. He is certified as an ISTQB Advanced Test Manager and Agile Tester and has deep knowledge of agile methods such as Scrum, SAFe, and Kanban. At TestHuset, Enzo teaches test management, testing in agile projects, and ISTQB Foundation.
