Purpose of a Scrum Master

Assistance for existing Scrum teams that need a facilitator for Scrum ceremonies, coordination tasks, and team coaching, as well as ensuring an effective process and progress.

A Scrum Master from TestHuset ensures that the Scrum team has the necessary conditions to make their work as efficient as possible. The Scrum Master helps remove obstacles for the team and coordinates and communicates with other teams and the rest of the organization. They can act as a sparring partner at both tactical and operational levels for both the team and the Product Owner.

The Scrum Master’s tasks may include:

Reporting on agile KPIs to the project steering committee and/or other management
Daily facilitation of the Scrum framework and meetings
Supporting the Product Owner with prioritization of the product backlog

Teaching the “agile values” and the “agile mindset” to achieve a common understanding at an operational level
Ensuring that the team is well-functioning by motivating the various profiles on both professional and personal levels
Dialoguing with management about progress, problem and conflict management, and objectives
