As of June 1, 2018, Trifork has acquired 70% of the shares in the Danish IT company Trifork QI A/S.
The acquisition is a logical and entirely natural development following the successful collaboration between Trifork QI and Trifork in delivering IT solutions to both public and private customers in Denmark. From day one, the partnership and synergy have created added value for the end user—and ultimately for the overall result.
Allan Tange, CEO of Trifork QI.
“With the vision of setting tomorrow’s agenda within testing and quality assurance of IT solutions, Trifork QI has over the past few years invested heavily in rethinking and revitalizing the way desired IT outcomes can be ensured for our customers. Trifork QI exists to help Danish companies with mission-critical IT operations achieve added value and increased business performance through user solutions that create efficiency and smiles rather than frustration for the individual user—and, in the worst case, negative headlines.
With Trifork on board as an investor, we gain several additional gears to continue this journey. Ultimately, this creates clear opportunities for Trifork QI to become even stronger as companies’ trusted partner in ensuring success and increased value from their IT investments.”
In recent years, Trifork QI has made a number of investments in its already highly skilled employees, in new technology and software through a Danish startup company, and most recently has entered into a strategic partnership and collaboration with the IT company Trifork.
“Over the past year, these significant investments have delivered substantial value for our customers, and in that light, we now wish to further strengthen our image and brand so that we can also serve customers beyond Denmark’s borders,” says Allan Tange.
“There is no doubt that customers both in and outside Denmark face the same challenges. The nature of IT projects, in a world where digitalization is at the top of the agenda, makes it difficult to maintain control over quality. New technologies, agile ways of working, faster deliveries, etc., no longer always align with conventional approaches to testing and quality. From the outset, there is a need to avoid costly mistakes rather than focusing solely on finding defects at the end of the process. It is about thinking of testing and quality as a fundamentally different way of working. We are proud of the results we achieve every day in defining the new playbook within what we call proactive testing. The investment in Preely.com in 2017 and now the agreement with Trifork are major steps in the right and natural direction for Trifork QI,” adds CTO Roland Møller.
Trifork QI will continue as an independent company and an impartial sparring partner for its many Danish customers. Both CTO Roland Møller and CEO Allan Tange will remain shareholders in Trifork QI and, as the future executive management, will continue to oversee daily operations and further development of the company.
“I am very pleased that Trifork QI has found a partner with whom we can match each other’s ambitions. With this acquisition, we are even better equipped to continuously deliver user-friendly software solutions of high quality. Trifork QI brings extensive experience in advising on and assuring the quality of software solutions before, during, and after project execution. These experiences, along with all of Trifork QI’s tools and methodologies, will provide Trifork with clear competitive advantages,” says Peter Rørsgaard, Director at Trifork.
Jørn Larsen, CEO of Trifork.
“Software testing is absolutely essential today. With Trifork QI, Trifork gains the best tools to ensure that all user scenarios are thoroughly tested before a solution is approved by the customer.”
In connection with the investment, Trifork QI and Trifork will work on internationalizing the Trifork QI brand to ensure it resonates globally. The company expects to have a plan ready in the near future.
