On May 4, 2017, at the DSTB Conference, we launched our course, Exploratory Testing.
If you were not at the DSTB Conference, you missed the launch of our newest course. The course will be held for the first time during the summer period, as we know that some projects tend to be less busy at that time. We were unsure which weeks would be most suitable, so instead of simply selecting dates ourselves, we created a survey at the conference to identify the weeks that best suited testers across Denmark.
Exploratory testing is now used in almost all IT projects as part of the tester’s toolbox of techniques. The challenge, however, is that many do not apply it in a sufficiently structured way and therefore do not gain the full benefit from the testing. For that reason, we have developed an online course to help you gain better control of the exploratory testing technique. The advantage of an online course is that you can participate from wherever it suits you best.
Exploratory Testing
The course is a one-day online training session where you will gain the following outcomes:
You will learn how to apply Exploratory Testing, where you actively control and design test cases continuously during execution. In addition, you will gain the following benefits:
- You will learn what exploratory testing is and the value of using it.
- You will learn when it is beneficial to use exploratory testing and when it is not, as well as how to plan it effectively.
- You will be able to facilitate an exploratory testing session for yourself and your team.
- You will learn to apply session-based testing and how to use test charters, including defining the test objective and potential test ideas for execution.
- You will learn about the challenges of exploratory testing and how to address them effectively.
- You will be able to design new test cases based on experience and information gathered through exploratory testing.
- You will be able to apply experience-based testing in your daily work after completing the course.
Dates:
The result of the survey conducted at the conference showed that week 30 and week 32 were the most suitable weeks. Therefore, we have chosen to launch the course on the following dates:
- July 25, 2017
- August 8, 2017
